Magical Snow Covered Mersea Island
Just one day after bright warm sunshine, akin to a late summer's day, the temperature fell dramatically.  The sky became grey and it began to rain...perhaps the snow wasn't coming after all, not for us.  It felt as though the rest of the country was getting their white stuff and we were being left out.
But then little by little the snow flakes came. At first they were small and barely noticeable, steadily growing until large clumps of flakes silently fell in swirls and torrents.  Soon enought the varied colours of Mersea Island had been transformed, whitewashed, by a magical winterscape of fresh fluffy snow.
I took it upon myself to take a couple of photographs of Shingle Point, one in colour and the other in black and white (with a slight very subtle colour tone), here they are for you to enjoy below!
I've also created a short video of the snowy scenes around the Island, set to music, you can view the video if you CLICK HERE
